Governments
Democracy: A government in which the people have the power, and express it through voting for their leader. The people also have a lot of freedom such as in speech .
Example: An example of the freedom the people is their power to protest against the government, this can be seen when Donald Trump became president. The citizens who did not want him to be president had the right to protest against him.
Communism: A government in which the government controls all means production and economy. This limits the freedom of the citizens.
Example: In some communist countries they limit things such as news or social media. Which shows how it limits the peoples freedom.
Structure of The Government
Democracy: It has 3 branches of government the Legislative, Executive, and Judicial. This is so that each of the branches keeps the other in check and none becomes too powerful.
Communism: It is usually govern and controlled by a single party.
Countries
Democracy: US, France, Germany, India, Ireland, and Italy to name a few
Communism: China, Cuba, North Korea, and Vietnam
Advantages
Democracy: The people have the power and can vote for their leaders. It is a free market economy meaning they can sell what they want, as well as determine how much it costs. People also have the ability to move up in classes and be richer.
Communism: Everyone is equal meaning they all make the same wage and there are no classes so no one can be poorer than another.
Disadvantages
Democracy: Their is delayed decision making as well as poverty because there are classes
Communism: It puts a limit on freedom such as what they can and can't sell. People can also not be able to move up in classes
